Oven potatoes

December 3, 2011

These spuds got chopped and put into a casserole dish (must have a close fitting lid) with a couple of  chopped leeks (from the garden), a chopped garlic clove or two, some salt and quite a lot of pepper, a knob of butter and a little water – probably only 4 tablespoonfuls – and left in a hot oven for about an hour. You could check it just to make sure it all doesn’t get too blackened or stuck to the bottom, but I didn’t bother – adds to the fun. The photo’s pretty much in focus! Rim of the  bowl’s a bit rough though.
