Garlic buttered potatoes

The beloved has just complained that he didn’t get to eat this. Some things are just too good to share. Peel, wash, chop and cook some potatoes. Meanwhile chop two cloves of garlic very finely and when the potatoes are practically done, throw the garlic in a pan with a generous dollop of salted butter. Cook for a few minutes – don’t let the garlic brown – and then when the potatoes are done and contained in a suitable bowl, pour the garlic butter over them. Add lots of freshly grated black pepper. Eat. (Probably should have something with it.)
