It’s not just about potatoes…

December 31, 2011

The New year’s eve game of Monopoly is in full swing and people’s true personalities are beginning to show……things are getting a little heated and the beloved has just put three houses each on the pinkish-red set – which means lots of rent if you land on it.  Grannie’s out, Jeaniegran and Poppa are hanging on by a thread and Arlo could be following in his father’s footsteps…..but things can change on the throw of a dice…..

We’re going to eat (different kinds of smoked fish, tomato salad, green salad, different kinds ofcheeses, tofu with feta and spinach pie, French bread, tofu garlic dip, humous, raw vegetables to dip in followed by tiramisu and sponge cake Arlo made earlier) as soon as the game’s over. I may have to sabotage it though as I’m starving.

No potato photo today – instead a photo of mahonia japonica magnificently in flower in the gardens at the District Council Offices.

Happy New Year!
