Harry would be 16 today so Halo, Rella, Arlo and I made cakes and profiteroles to celebrate his birthday. Harry liked a cake, and I think these would have met with his approval.  We used 3 bars of chocolate, several After Eight Mints, half a bag of Divine Easter eggs (with a sugar coating) and a packet of (vegetarian) jelly stars to decorate the cake and the profiteroles.

Having stuffed ourselves with cake, we watched old home movies (Rella sounds like Iona sometimes and no one stops talking for any length of time) and looked at baby books.

Miriam sent some lovely flowers which smell beautiful.

Grannie came round  – as did Rella’s elusive beau for the first time. We were relieved to discover he’s just a guy (the imagination can run riot if given the opportunity).

Difficult day over for another year.
