Art – the final frontier

April 26, 2012

We had shop pizza this evening, mainly because Rella and I went out to the supermarket (via a DIY shop to buy some more sealant for the shower in the hope that this time it won’t go mouldy – probably too much information) and we were seduced by cheap pizzas (a little odd in retrospect because Rella wasn’t going to eat English pizzas again having only recently returned from being spoiled by the real thing in Italy – the fickleness of youth).

Another reason is that the beloved, who’s not really that keen on pizza,  took Grannie to the chiropractor and then they went for a slap up meal so we didn’t have to think about pizza alternatives.  And the final reason is because it’s Arlo’s swimming club night so we ususally have easy to cook food unless I’ve organised food in advance – well I have organised it, but it’s from a shop so it doesn’t really count.

So no recipes or food pictures. This is part of a botanical painting of  a dried hornbeam branch with hanging leaves. Nothing to do with food – except that it’s the painting I sold and if I sell a lot more then perhaps we’ll all be going for slap up meals….
