Knowing when to stop

June 2, 2012

Today Tom Morrow called round (that’s very satisfying to write) and collected the T shirts I’d had printed for him. It was pouring with the rain that had threatened for most of today and yesterday, but had (wisely) held off. As the beloved said, as he watched the grass float, “I won’t have to water the garden”. Wise words.

This evening we watched Leanne win the final of The Voice. She teased, crooned and then belted the songs out – seemed the epitome of “voice” to me, and, for once, I was in tune with the British voting public. Another satisfying moment. Better quit while I’m ahead.
