a slippery slope?

July 31, 2012

So while I’m deciding what I can throw together to make a meal most people will eat, the beloved is busy dismantling and mantling/remantling? (are they words?) things (Sally’s computers in this case) in the hope of making something wonderful out of less than promising ingredients.

It’s the same thing really – I have a penchant for not wasting anything – some might say using things which are past their best – and the beloved is applying the same technique to technology. He’s quite good at it too.

The downside is that we need to be getting rid of stuff not accumulating more, but then it keeps him happy and the alternative is probably landfill  – or children dismantling computers for pennies.

However, the beloved now says he has ordered a raspberry pi – which I think is straying into my territory.
