Cat and dogs and stair rods

August 2, 2012

Two photos taken on the same day in very different weather. It’s often cold on Dartmoor, but the day we went was freezing, until the sun came out. Something is wrong with the weather and cooking myself into summer isn’t having the desired effect  – well not consistently.

Take this morning –  it rained stair rods and then cleared up and the sun shone and the sky was blue and then it rained again. Perhaps it’s so that our language students can make the most of the idiomatic language related to weather in these fair islands…

Maybe the Olympics have something to do with it?

Maybe not.

Never mind. We just need to appreciate what we have – like the mirror image that Arlo and Paolo are making in this picture as they sip their Luscombe juices in the sunshine.
