Lisa’s apple

September 13, 2012

It’s Lisa’s birthday today and I’m about to go out and join the birthday celebrations. I’ve spent the day painting so the kids are unwashed and the house is a mess (some might say that this is par for the course). There’s food though – baked potatoes, lentils with garlic, spinach and mushrooms, grated cheese and a delicious leafy salad – with Jim’s watercress and tomatoes from the garden.

And I have painted an apple for the birthday girl.

Later on, when I’ve finished painting a few more versions of it and it’s looking a bit tired I’ll cook it up into a crumble with some blackberries (I painted some of those too).

Happy Birthday Lisa!
