Last minute deadlines

October 2, 2012

I’ve just come back from a meeting which lasted from 5.30 until 8.15 and no food – not even soggy sandwiches -was provided. There’s usually something even if it’s only dry cake. There wasn’t even a cup of tea. It’s all very disappointing. These things are sent to try us.

The beloved cooked some nice pizzas for everyone with lots of things on them in my absence. There are a couple of pieces left, but Arlo said he wanted one for lunch tomorrow, so I had a fried egg with some smoked salmon and watercress on some French bread. I can’t complain really.

Here’s a sweet pea I painted earlier. I only need to do a couple more paintings ready for taking on Sunday to an exhibition – one down two to go.
