weekly photo challenge: changing seasons

December 8, 2012

Many of my posts recently have focused on the changing seasons – it’s a lot colder, it’s darker in the mornings and the nights are drawing in; Christmas decorations are all over town.

But the thing that for me really puts the nail in the Autumnal coffin and says that winter’s here with a vengeance is when the butter, which has been out all night in the kitchen (the warmed by the Aga kitchen), is still too hard to spread in the morning. That’s winter, that is.

I love this post. It was outside the box, and I smiled, chuckled and appreciated the reference. Thank you.

LOL Very true! Just like my cat curled up on or under a quilt is how we know that the winter is really here 🙂
