weekly photo challenge:surprise

December 22, 2012

Over a year ago the Beloved brought home a 56lb sack of potatoes. Finding ways of eating them was a challenge which I thought  I could share: my blog was born. Those potatoes were eaten a long time ago and there have been many recipes in between. This blog has since become not so much a “potato blog”, but more of a “what I did today which includes food” blog. I’ve been content  – in a complaisant kind of way. Granted, the Beloved has had the odd niggle – especially about the way he is portrayed – but I thought it balanced out in the end.

So, it was with some surprise that I watched the Beloved heft another 56lbs of potatoes into the scullery. It begins again –  or maybe it’s just deja vu…

Happy Birthday Ruth!  Watch this space for potato recipes.
