All in a day’s work

March 7, 2013

flowerpotflowerpot2The beloved works with Chris two days a week and today they were scheduled to do some gardening. However, the weather had other ideas and it poured with rain; Chris and the beloved are fine weather gardeners it seems.

So I walked into the kitchen to find them having a go at making newspaper flower pots (the beloved has a wooden former which makes small – and biodegradable – paper pots in which to plant seedlings). Chris’s first effort was a little loose, but the second was spot on.The-beloved's-lunch

The next time I went into the kitchen – I thought it was only minutes later, but maybe I was in a time warp – they were enjoying a leisurely lunch.

Chris's-mess-on-the-floor

The beloved had a Scotch egg and a cup of tea, but Chris bought a whole carrier bag full of food with him – and deliberately dropped crumbs on the floor!!

The beloved suggested Chris wield the dustpan and brush or else there’d be trouble from the houseproud cleaner. Chris obliged and was so speedy his hands are a blur. Chris's-mess-on-the-floor2

Quite right too.
