blogging laxness and other things

March 10, 2013

No posts for a few days. Things are slipping. And I should have wished virtual happy birthday greetings to Danny and to Brian, but no. Too busy. I didn’t even speak to Danny (I tried, but he’s 19 and there are better things to do than to stay in on your birthday) and I didn’t post his card or present  in time. Sorry!

But today is Mothering Sunday. It does feel as if mothers everywhere in the UK are being punished for something by the weather. Winter has returned with a vengeance. Rain, wind, sleet (and worse to come I’m told – maybe it’s not mothers being punished)

Nevertheless, the warmth from my children makes up for the miserable weather.  I’ve had real flowers, virtual flowers, a cafetiere replacement glass and a home made card (and a meal with Grannie and some coffee and beautiful flip flops from our Brazilian student, Katrine).

What more could a mother want on Mothering Sunday?
